What are some good things to include on a marketing/public relations resume?
Recently I decided that I want to be in the publishing industry and I want to work in the marketing or public relations and advertising department. I have a degree in communications and I have taken a lot of marketing course since that was my minor but i’m not sure what I should include on the resume. Any tips and please be as specific as possible. Thanks in advance.
You need to include a great objective stating what your looking for in a job/career. It would be helpful to include in your objective how your education can play a role in that. Something along the lines of : To obtain a challenging entry level position in the publishing industry, where I can utilize my education and begin a career in the field of marketing, public relations or advertising.
You also need to be sure and include your decree and course information in the education section of your resume.
