What college major is best for someone who wants to go into PR/marketing? Do some schools have degrees in PR?
Would you want to study communication? or what?
and what are the best schools for PR?
I’m looking to go into the talent agency/personal rep field, I would really like to be a sports agent…which would mean going to law school after. I was thinking PR would be a good thing to study in undergrad school as it will have a focus on what I want to do, while law school will not.
PR is a great study, yes, some schools do offer it under the school of liberal arts; communications, journalism or broadcasting all can fall into PR. Also, advertising, marketing, management, and parts of business studies can also fall under PR. Just depends on the focus of PR. Are you looking to get into PR for large corporations such as finance, retail, government, etc. You just have to chose the sector and courses closes in that area as electives. I recommend Communications personally. You can’t be a good PR rep if you can’t speak, write, or listen well.
