pay per appointment option, anyone know whats this and how does it work?
I know pay per click but now I discovered something called pay per appointment. there are companies that looking for leads (ppl that want to join some companies like multilevel marketing or things like that) and they sell you contact to the lead so you making money by increasing your team of agents. is anybody know how does it works, how much it costs and is it worth it?

The problem is, like everything else, it’s very difficult to actually make money and the field is full of cowboys trying to scam you …
I had a friend who worked for a ‘cold calling agency’ .. manned by 6th form school kids … they got paid ‘by the appointment’ .. so they cold called people at kids tea time – between about 4pm and 6pm .. whilst Mum was up to her neck in aggro and Dad was still at work ..
The idea was to get Mum on tape agreeing to ‘our representative who is already in your area’ who will ‘drop in’ and deliver a ‘free prize, no obligation quote’ for any one of a dozen possible items (double glazing, central heating, new kitchen, carpets, loft insulation, tree pruning, cavity wall insulation, drive way tarmac, designer garden, patio, conservatory etc etc etc)
If the first ‘operator’ couldn’t get agreement, the victim was added to the ‘senior operators’ list for another call later …
They then sold these ‘leads’ onto the dozen or so companies providing the actual items (sometimes the same ‘lead’ was sold to multiple companies providing the same items eg. double glazing)
Needless to say, the ‘quality’ of such leads was open to dispute .. many Mums would agree to anything just to stop the ‘spam phone calls’ …. eventually they went bust because they had to pay back the ‘lead money’ if the ‘representative’ was turned away at the door ..
