Why do I see AVON ads on TV or in magazines?
Isn’t AVON a MLM company- and aren’t they supposed to just do word of mouth advertising? I just wonder if the big bucks it takes to make those ads gets taken, essentially, out of the pockets of the consultants in the long run?
Also, to hire Reese Witherspoon as a spokesperson can’t be cheap, either…. doesn’t that take away from the consultants, too? Maybe AVON is slowly making the switch to become a line sold in stores, not through consultants?
Anyways, I’m just curious about this. I use my skin care/cosmetics from a different MLM company.
ETA: They must just be going more towards a store-brand business now? I use Arbonne, and its pretty popular line but doesn’t do any advertising because that takes away from what they can pay their consultants. Anyways, its interesting to see what you all have to say!
Although Avon does have distributors to sell they are in store’s as well. This kind of marketing tends to wear out the name of a company and they will see sales slowly decline. Now companies that have distributors that aren’t in a store tend to be in business less because there not well known. Its a toss up of what u wanna do.
