Are you allowed to ask your users to click on an Adsense ad?
Hi,
I want to offer a free service on my website, the whole website is dedicated on this service. And it is costing me about $600 per month to make use of the suppliers API to display the information to the public. I don’t make money by subscriptions. So I will need to come up with another idea on how to make money from the website. I was thinking of advertising and Google’s Adsense.
Am I allowed to state on my website that because it is a free service that each user must click on a Google ad so that I can bring in money to support the website and servers and hosting and paying for the API etc? What is Google’s policy regarding this?
If you do it, Google will close your account.
You need an introductory service for free, and then charge a small fee to keep users coming back.
You need to find out how many “hard” users you have, meaning how many people you think would actually pay for the service and divide it up. If you have 200 people that can’t live without the service your providing than charge them each $6.00 per month to continue service.
Chargebacks and other issues, like transaction fees is why it needs to be doubled.
