What are some important touch-points that would provide an exceptional customer experience in a printing co.?
I am looking for idea’s from people that actually have worked with a printing company for business cards or direct mail marketing campaigns.
First off, I was impressed by the selection of card styles available that was presented in a binder. Had been in some situations years ago where they just had a stack of rat-eared, dingy samples.
Second, they gave me a delivery date, and when the supplier could not meet that, they called to let me know before hand the fact they were delayed, and the new expected date (2 days later), which they did meet.
Third, they offered, but I did not take them up on it (since mine was an extremely simple card), of providing a proof. Especially in jobs that are complicated, or words that are difficult to spell, this gives the opportunity for the client to be sure everything is placed correctly, and spelled correctly. They might also see something they omitted when first talking about the design, or opt to take something out.
Fourth, I have seen a business card, where one side is in English, the reverse in Japanese.
Hope these ideas help.
