There are two “leaders” in today’s network marketing industry who are in the forefront of Attraction Marketing and internet network marketing (internet mlm, internetwork marketing, online mlm… different terms, all means the same thing…): Mike Dillard and Ann Sieg.
Both of these leaders in the network marketing industry have written ground breaking books that have revolutionized the industry and have helped countless number of network marketers find success. They both have applied the principles of attraction marketing to grow massive downlines in their respective businesses without chasing after people or cold-calling… and continue to teach this concept in the industry.
Yet their personalities and writing styles are very, very different. Let’s take a closer look at each of these industry leaders:

Mike Dillard – the Alpha Leader
Mike Dillard is direct and to the point, which shows in his writing style as well as any of his communication (including videos, emails, live presentation). He is very efficient with the use of his words yet uses everyday language to communicate his ideas very clearly.
In the introduction to his ground breaking course, Magnetic Sponsoring, he lets you know that he made his first million while he was still in his twenties.
Rather than appeal to the readers’ emotions, Mike Dillard goes directly to the bottom line. He really takes the ‘no-nonsense, get-to-the-point” approach in his communication.
This is also apparent when he speaks (probably purposefully portraying his leadership qualities in all his communication) as you can see in his free 7-day video bootcamp (if you haven’t watch these videos yet, i highly suggest you do).
Here’s just an example of his writing style. In Magnetic Sponsoring, Mike Dillard writes, “Alphas get the guy or girl, the car, the respect, the money, and have more opportunities …to impact more people…”
Throughout his writing, Dillard leaves you in no doubt as to his own alpha characteristics i.e. leadership qualities.

Ann Sieg – The Renegade Network Marketer
In the introduction for The Renegade Network Marketer , Ann Sieg talks about having to fight the feelings of rejection she experienced early in her career and how she had to rearrange her own thought process to deal with them.
In doing so, she creates an immediate connection with her readers, many of whom are also dealing with rejection within their network marketing business.
Throughout The Renegade Network Marketer, Ann Sieg explains the importance of understanding a prospect’s emotions and how to connect with those emotions.
Her writing style is almost chatty. You forget that you are being introduced to some pretty big concepts, because they are presented to you in such a conversational tone. You can take a glimpse of her writing style in her free report, The 7 Great Lies Of Network Marketing.
As you read her books, emails, or any of her written communication, you’ll get excited; in many cases out of your seat excited. Yet the easy writing style never intimidates you by the magnitude of what is being said.
Do You Connect More with Mike Dillard or Ann Sieg?
By the time many network marketers turn to the internet to look for information about how to build their network marketing / mlm business, they have already experienced a string of frustrating failures.
Some people will be drawn more to Mike Dillard’s alpha leadership persona. They are looking for a strong authority figure to cut to the chase and basically tell them what actions they need to take to move their business forward.
He places the responsibility for the growth of your network marketing business squarely on your shoulders (which I totally agree with by the way… every entrepreneur has to take things by the horn and take ownership and personal responsibility of their own success).
Some people will respond to Ann Sieg’s “I know exactly how you feel; I went through the same thing” approach.
Ann Sieg chooses not to detail her own success except to say that it came in a big way.
Mike Dillard gives numbers. He’ll tell you the number of prospects he has been able to recruit. He’ll tell you the amount of money he has been able to make.
Which of these powerful network marketing leaders should you follow?
For validation and guidance go with Ann Sieg. For the bottom line, no fluff approach, go with Mike Dillard.
Me? I choose to follow both. I learn and absorb everything that these two leaders in the industry have to offer because my prospects and team members also have different personalities and styles. I like to be able to offer either (or both) to help them achieve their goals.
For you? Well, I’d say if you’re just getting started with mastering “the way” of attraction marketing, you should pick one that resonates with you and stick to one style. It’ll help minimize confusion and overwhelm.
